Univision and Six Flags Great Adventure partnered up to host the 360-degree sponsorship opportunity of Univision’s Independence Day Celebration Concert held at the Plymouth Assurance Arena at Six Flags Great Adventure, NJ on Saturday, July 1 st , 2017. The concert featured the hottest artists in the reggaetón/trap genre: J. Alvarez, Jory Boy and Bad Bunny.

By utilizing Univision TV, Radio and Digital Six Flags Great Adventure was provided with a customized plan that was designed to demonstrate Six Flags consistent commitment to the Hispanic community and their involvement with grassroots initiatives. Elements consisted of a Six Flags Media Campaign, Online and Social Media. X96.3FM ran a 3-week campaign with promos, ticket giveaways and an artist meet and greet sweepstakes. Univision and Six Flags cross promoted the event on their websites and social media pages. Unimas dedicated an entire episode of Viernes y Más to Six Flags and the concert that ran after the event.

The Independence Day Celebration Concert was a big success for Six Flags. It served to be extremely effective recording over 8,000 people in the arena on that stormy night. The park was kept open after closing to accommodate the crowd and artists. “Just when you think you can’t do better than the year before... Univision once again provided us with an amazing event. From talents to media to day of execution and (the) most importantly result, the concert was an amazing success."

ESPN’s 98.7FM NY’s Alan Hahn hosts “The Alan Hahn Show”, weekdays 7- 10 p.m. Hahn has hosted “Hahn, Humpty & Canty”, weekdays 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., since 2014. The re-named “Humpty & Canty” will continue to be hosted by Rick DiPietro and Chris Canty alongside new co-host Dave Rothenberg. Rothenberg, who has hosted “The Dave Rothenberg Show” weekday evenings, joined “Humpty & Canty”, in September. The Saturday edition of “The Dave Rothenberg Show” will continue from 9 a.m. – noon.

The following are some new changes at iHeart’s WWPR-FM: Eddie Fennel, current Executive Producer to The Breakfast Club, will assume the Assistant Program Director role at Power. Fennel previously held the APD role at WDAS and WUSL at iHeartMedia Philadelphia before coming to New York in 2016. Prostyle, midday talent, will add Music Director duties to his current role. DJ Prostyle has been on-air at Power 105.1 for over six years. D. Royale will join the station as Assistant Music Director and Producer for afternoon drive host Angie Martinez. D. Royale transfers in from iHeartMedia’s 104.5, The Beat, Orlando. Honey German, Power’s Digital Content Producer will add Music Coordinator duties to her current role.

Jay Dabhi has been promoted to Music Director at CBS RADIO’s 92.3 AMP Radio in NY. Dabhi joined 92.3 AMP in 2015 to launch the station’s first mix show. He began his radio career four years earlier as a guest mix show DJ on WXRK – 92.3 NOW.
