Job Description:
Responsible for supporting and maintaining all transmission property, RF plant, equipment and technical operations for station ensuring FCC compliance. Reports to the Chief Engineer.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned
1. Work with technical management team to develop innovative and strategic plans in the broadcast and digital distribution environments as well as information technology integration
2. Inspects, repairs, and maintains all broadcasting and radio station equipment including transmitters, satellite uplinks/downlinks, computers, antennas, studio equipment, remote equipment, generators, telephones, and related equipment.
3. Telecommunications management for in-house phone systems, circuits, vendors and mobile services for employees.
4. Evaluates studio needs for broadcasting equipment and makes recommendation for improvement in technical performance of station equipment.
5. Follow procedures for operation and maintenance of studio, remote control, and all transmission equipment.
6. Directs and performs testing and maintenance of studio, remote, and broadcasting equipment to ensure operational performance meets industry standards and rules and regulations of Federal Communications Commission.
7. Develops modification and testing of equipment to ensure operational performance meets specified standards.
8. Perform repair and maintenance schedules for studio, remote, and transmitter site broadcasting equipment to improve reliability of broadcasts.
9. Provides computer hardware/network support in conjunction with Director of Integrated Technologies and Corporate technology department.
10. Available to work various hours and days including some weekends and holidays. On-call status 24/7 in case of equipment failure.
11. Other job-related duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
