Emmis Job Description JOB TITLE: Sales Project Manager LOCATION: New York, NY Summary The Sales Project Manager at Emmis New York is a fast-paced role responsible for supporting the sales efforts for the entire Local division of Emmis NY as we approach new heights. This position reports directly to the Sales Operation Manager. This person will be primarily responsible for the full coordination and execution of our sales programming, promotional & digital execution using BaseCamp as a main communication, delegation & progress tracking vehicle and must assist in providing custom solutions to meet the needs and wants of our core clients as well as ensuring effective communication to clients, agencies, AEs and all internal departments. This role is also responsible to help cultivate long lasting, customer focused relationships by developing custom programs that drive results for our customers and new revenue for our company. QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate should possess the ability to exercise creativity, problem solving skills, work intensity, ambition, and a HIGH level of accountability, which are very important in this role. The applicant should possess an innate curiosity to uncover new marketing challenges we can help solve. The candidate should have a fantastic “can do” attitude with the ability to trouble shoot, problem solve and navigate in a fast paced environment. A track record of outstanding support of sales efforts and creativity to generate and execute custom marketing ideas are essential. Minimum of 3 years media experience –preferably broadcast media. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for being the first point of contact on any project management or support needs for a pre-designated team of Account Executives, Sales Managers or the National Rep Firm • Participate in weekly Sales Solutions meetings when their pre-designated AEs and/or Sales Managers are scheduled • Create and implement world-class client solutions, rationales, ideas, promotions and campaigns for clients • Organizing, prioritizing and managing all on-air, on-site and on-line promotions for clients using BaseCamp as the main communication, delegation & progress tracking vehicle • Communicate with on-site contacts at station appearances, events and promotions • Present promotional ideas to Marketing/Promotional/Programming Directors • Provide station recaps, including air checks (promotional mentions, live liners, endorsements) and pictures of events (supported by a junior Sales Coordinator position) • Serve as liaison between Clients/Agencies and our Promotions/Digital/Creative Services Departments to ensure high level customer service in fulfilling the creative needs of Local projects • Coordinating all aspects of On-Air Talent requests with Emmis Talent Management • Preparing and routing AEs correspondence including proposals, letters, contracts and commercial copy. • Support for AEs including avails, promotion requests, research, follow-up, re-caps. • Participate in training programs to learn more about our systems (ex: Arbitron ratings, rankings reports, schedules, etc.) • Assist in daily tasks and other duties as assigned To Apply: Please submit your profile and resume online at No phone calls please!
